Thirst January 24, 2011

You say you love me

You say that you care

I say to you that I don’t feel your love nor care

You ignore me in protest

Love me like no other

Love me like there is no tomorrow

Touch me as though you will never get the chance to touch me again

Kiss me like you are going to war

Hold me as if you never mean to let me go

Tell me everyday what I mean to you

Tell me how much you love me

Remind me that I am the one,  that I’m your motive for life

Reassure me that without me, your world will be cold and dark

I don’t know what I mean to you

I don’t know where I stand

All I know is that I’m starving for love

  1. Behrooz Says:

What can I hold you with?
I offer you lean streets, desperate sunsets, the
    moon of the jagged suburbs.
I offer you the bitterness of a man who has looked
long and long at the lonely moon.
I offer you the loyalty of a man who has never
    been loyal.
I offer you explanations of yourself, theories about
yourself, authentic and surprising news of
    yourself.
I can give you my loneliness, my darkness, the
hunger of my heart; I am trying to bribe you
with uncertainty, with danger, with defeat…….

    Jorge Luis Borges

“The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over, and expecting a different result” – Albert Einstein
